This innovative product aims to offer a healthier option for rice consumption.

Ajinomoto Co., Inc., headquartered in Chuo, Tokyo, under President Taro Fujie, is set to launch “Hakumai Douzo®,” a revolutionary cooking additive for rice cookers, on March 21, 2024, via their online sales site. This innovative product, by altering the structure of starch in white rice through enzymatic action, allows for the cooking of rice that retains its delicious taste while enabling a more gentle absorption of sugars.
