Toyota of the world is being shaken by a series of fraudulent quality certification tests at group companies. In the Toyota Group, certification fraud was discovered at consolidated subsidiary Hino Motors and wholly owned subsidiary Daihatsu Motors. Furthermore, fraud was recently discovered at Toyota Industries, which is said to be the “head of Toyota”. Toyota outsources the production of diesel engines to Toyota Industries, and has decided to suspend shipments of 10 models.
Why does fraud continue to occur in the Toyota Group?
